From Malaysia to Seoul, Zhi Chuan and Eric honed their craft at K-Arts before joining FunnyFlux Entertainment, working on hit series like Katuri, Super Wings, and Dinoster. There, they partnered with producer JJ to form a dynamic creative trio. Years of developing successful pitches for top Korean studios have cemented their reputation as a trusted concept design powerhouse. Driven by a vision to build something that honors their roots, Zhi Chuan and Eric returned from Korea and found Bumi Studio.

Lim Zhi Chuan
Founder & CEO
Zhi Chuan is a 2009 graduate of MIA who began his career as a graphic novel artist at RBC Ministries Asia Ltd in Singapore. He later earned a BA from Korea National University of Arts (K-Arts) in Seoul. He spent nine years working as a concept artist in the animation industry. His experience includes projects at Oliver Studio (Cocomong) and FunnyFlux (Super Wings, Katuri, Dinoster). In 2024, he returned to Malaysia and founded Bumi Studio.

Eric Tee
Co-Founder & Art Director
A 2011 MIA graduate, Eric began his career as a visualizer at advertising agencies like YR Malaysia and Naga DDB Tribal, exposing himself to various international and local brands like Vespa, Penguin Books, Astro and etc. His work for brands like Colgate and the Malaysian Nature Society garnered multiple advertising awards. Later, he earned a BA from K-Arts in Seoul and spent six years as a concept artist at FunnyFlux Entertainment before co-founding Bumi Studio.

Jung-Jin Hong
Chief Strategy Officer
Jung-Jin Hong is a creative producer and content strategist with deep experience in animation and international co-production development. At Bumi Studio, as Chief Strategy Officer, he supports project development by shaping overall creative and production strategies, structuring cross-border collaboration models, and aligning creative vision with financing, distribution, and international market realities.
